Too Big For Twitter

-LeBron James recorded an interview with Larry King the other day which will air tomorrow night. Now, some people are criticising James because it will be airing at the same time as the first game of the NBA Finals and they think he's trying to upstage the game. Personally, I don't think that and here's why: a) It's not his call when Larry King's show airs and b) They've already leaked the one part of the interview anyone was interested in is - LeBron hasn't made a decision about where he's going yet, but Cleveland has the inside track to sign him. There, they have officially removed any reason to watch that interview instead of the game. If anything I think we learned by Larry King's rating are so terrible lately.

-The other day I was hunting around in the cheap movie bin of a local store, looking for a movie that I might like - just not enough to pay more than $5 for. In this bin there was actually a package for sale which had three movies in it for the price of two. It was called the "Essential Sports Movie" collection. The movies included were Hoosiers, Field of Dreams... and Kingpin. Like I once heard on Sesame Street: "One of these things is not like the others. One of these things just doesn't belong." Apparently, my definition of the word "essential" is a little different than some other people's.

-Regardless of where you come down on the "cops vs flaggers to direct traffic at construction sites" debate, can we all just agree that whoever is there should at least pretend to be working? I passed a couple guys working on telephone pole today (so far off to the side of the road that they weren't impacting traffic to begin with) and the cop nearby literally wasn't doing anything related to traffic control. C'mon man, at least act like you're earning your money.

-I was reading a story this afternoon about how movie ticket sales were way down last weekend when compared to last Memorial Day. Hollywood reporters are saying this is because the big premieres this weekend were mostly sequel and they think that people might have started to get tired of sequels. Well, they're half-right - we're tired of bad sequels. Maybe if they took the time to craft a decent script we would be interested in going to the movies again.

-Finally, can I interest you in three of my favorite comedians in a dance-off?
