The Last Time We'll Discuss This

Ok, I'm done with the Tiger Woods drama, barring some sort of ground-breaking revelation like he had steroids in the car. Now that the Florida Highway Patrol has announced that they are done with their investigation and the worse legal punishment Tiger is facing is a fine up to $164 (I think he finds twice that in his couch cushions everyday), I think we can just about close the door on this story. Now, I'm sure that there will still be people that crawl out from under whatever rock they were hiding under to throw accusations in Tiger's direction but that doesn't mean I will take any of them seriously. The anti-Tiger backlash has already begun to die down and now it's actually getting reversed with the media beginning to poke holes in some of the "facts" that came from the first source.

Really all this hoopla served to do was dent Tiger's previously bullet-proof image, put his marriage on shaky ground, make the Florida Highway Patrol look like they report directly to TMZ, teach me that it's against the law to drive without shoes on in the state of Florida (while that first seems odd, when there are that many people in flip-flops year round I guess it makes sense) and show us that Chinese news sources love to use computer simulations. Basically nobody won. Also, when in doubt, Chris Rock will be the voice of reason.

-For those of you who watched the Patriots/Saints game last night, you can see why Belichick didn't want to punt on 4th and 2 against the Colts. Also, now that the Patriots have faced both of the remaining undefeated teams in the NFL there is no question in my mind that the Saints are superior to the Colts. Not even close. The only way New Orleans loses a tight game is if they have to rely on a late field goal kick of more than 35 yards, cause Carney seems shaky.

-Seriously, Carlos Dunlap? You have one game of consequence all season. People knew in August that Alabama/Florida was going to be the SEC Championship game and the winner would be playing for the National Championship. You couldn't stay sober for one more week? If you made it passed this game you had 6 weeks to get wasted and no one would have cared. Now Urban Meyer has to spend time that normally would go into game prep instead coming up with an excuse as to why you won't be suspended.
